SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT

GRT's Matrix Series ARINC 818 and HOTLink II cards come standard with Windows device drivers and test applications. For users that need to integrate our products into their systems, we offer Software Development Kits (SDKs) for Windows, Linux, and LabVIEW™ environments.

Device drivers and test applications

GRT cards and hardware are delivered with device drivers for use on Windows systems.

Basic test applications are also installed for a fast path to product use. For custom applications, see the SDK products below.

Supported operating systems:

  • Windows XP (32-bit only)

  • Windows 7, 8, and 10

  • Linux (call for currently supported Kernel versions)

Product SDKs for applications development

Developers needing custom applications can use GRT's Windows-based development kit for quick deployment of image and data acquisition systems, camera and sensor emulators, graphics generators, or other video-intensive applications.

SDKs are available for Linux or Windows.

SDK training classes and application development consulting are available on request.

An SDK includes:

  • API (application programming interface) User Guide

  • Programmer Guide

  • Sample code

  • Technical support

LabVIEW SDK

With the LabVIEW™ SDK, developers can create ARINC 818 or HOTLink II™ applications in LabVIEW for GRT's Matrix or legacy GRAVity boards. You don't have to create Virtual Instruments (VIs) from scratch.

The core of GRT's LabVIEW™ SDK is a high-level application programming interface. Simple drag-and-drop and wiring operations create Virtual Instruments. A library of VIs and sub-VIs can be quickly customized by developers working in LabVIEW's™ G programming environment.

Video recording software

GRT is a reseller of the Streampix software suite customized for use in recording and playback of video from Matrix or GRAVity Series boards.

Developers can use a single channel or multiple channels. Useful for video recording, the systems can also be configured to play back to a GUI or play back through the hardware, creating ARINC 818 video playout to cockpit displays or display simulators.

Developers can also implement their own DVRs using GRT's SDKs to develop a real-time recording application.

Supported operating systems:

  • Windows XP (32-bit only)

  • Windows 7, 8, and 10

  • Linux (call for currently supported Kernel versions)

VxWorks Libraries

C Code libraries available for use with either the Matrix or GRAVity series cards to allow Register control, DMA, and interrupt handling. These libraries integrate easily into target SBC, VxWorks, or other real-time operating systems.
